Thomas Komala Restoring Norman Rockwell Painting
Have you ever wondered is that old panting in the attic is worth saving? Do you have a painting on your wall that no longer looks as vibrant as it did twenty years ago?
Many people with oil or acrylic paintings among their collectables do not realize that art takes a little “maintenance” just as well as many other things we enjoy in our immediate environment.
Thomas Komala has served the Denver area for over thirty years in the field of art conservation and restoration. He has restored paintings that have been damaged in shipping, from fire and smoke, and water intrusion. He can also bring an old discolored painting back to its original color and brightness.
Thomas is a graduate of The American Academy of Art, where he studied Art Conservation with the schools Director, Frank H. Young II. He worked as the conservator of the academy’s art collection for several years.
The vast collection gave Thomas the opportunity to handle a wide variety of problems that can occur in the various media.
